ZONAMACO Salón and ZONAMACO Foto announce their 2018 Editions

ZONAMACO, Latin America’s leading art fair platform, presents the fifth edition of ZONAMACO SALÓN and the fourth edition of ZONAMACO FOTO on August 22 to 26, 2018 at Centro Citibanamex, Mexico City.

ZONAMACO SALÓN
 
In its fifth edition, the fair will feature some of the most important international exhibitors with sculpture, painting, graphic arts, decorative arts, furniture, lamps, vessels, tapestries, rugs, textiles, documents, manuscripts, medals, maps, masks, numismatics, tools, collectible automobiles and motorcycles and other artifacts and objects prior to 1960. Also: fine crafts, ceramics, vinyl records, jewelry, clocks and books, produced before and after 1960, which maintain a connection with antiquities through their content, production, research or design.
 
ZONAMACO SALÓN has featured the most renowned international exhibitors such as Luis Alegria (Porto), Muzeion Gallery (Dallas), Safra Antigüedades (Barcelona / Miami), Faubourg Saint Germain (London), Silver Craft (Cochabamba) and Zarco Antiquarios (Lisbon), as well as the prestigious auction house Morton Subastas and leading antiquarians in Mexico such as Daniel Liebsohn, Rodrigo Rivero Lake, Enrique Rivero Lake, Mario Uvence Antiques & Fine Arts, Bolivar Old Prints, Diptych Fine Arts, Galerías Grimaldi and Galería Windsor, among others.
 
Every year, nationally renowned institutions participate at the fair, such as the Museo de la Revolución and Fomento Cultural Citibanamex. Additionally, art and design publications are sold by international publishers and publications like EXIT, ARTFORUM, ArtNEXUS, among many others, addressed to academics, collectors and art enthusiasts.
 
Participation in the fair is determined through an open application and subsequent acceptance from the selection committee:

The fair features vintage, modern and contemporary photography with the most representative selection of leading international galleries.

The fair presents the section ZONAMACO SOLO, curated by Johann Mergenthaler (Creative Director of HUUN and Creative Director of Fashion Week Mexico). The section features individual projects of artists through direct invitation of the curator and was launched with great success in 2017, featuring 22 projects of multinational artist:

ZONAMACO SALÓN and ZONAMACO FOTO will be held from August 22 to 26 in Mexico City with a conference program in partnership with local institutions, as well as a highly structured VIP program set to prompt the connections among exhibitors, collectors, curators, specialists and the general public throughout the five days of the fair.

ZONAMACO is the exclusive opportunity to display and acquire antiques and photography through the most prestigious and international-projected art platform in Mexico.
