Curator Leonardo Ramirez Cartier has invited us on our Facebook page to attend the Earth, Paper or Glue exhibition by cartoonist Martin Gerardo Correa that will open on Oct. 14 at the Maria Grever de Leon Theater’s Gallery in Mexico.
Ramirez and Irazu Paramo are the curators of this 200-piece exhibit. A hundred of them broach the issue of nationalism and Mexico’s iconographic identity, while the other half is devoted to paying tribute to Mexican and Chicano iconographers and engravers. Across the board, this event is part of the celebrations to observe the bicentennial of the visual arts
The exhibition will remain open till the month of December.
