Announcing Curators and Open Call for PLAY

We are thrilled to announce the PULSE Miami Beach 2016 PLAY curators and an open call for video and digital submissions, marking the first time in the history of PLAY that entries have been extended to non-exhibitors.

PLAY is a dedicated program for video and new media works, serving as a platform for discovery within the digital realm. The open call will allow more artists the opportunity to submit video and digital art for consideration, providing our curators with a diverse and dynamic range of works to review and creating a more thorough overview of the latest works being created within the medium.

CURATORS: Jasmine Wahi and Rebecca Jampol, Co-Founders and Directors of Gateway Project Spaces, will curate this year's edition of PLAY. Wahi and Jampol run Gateway, a highly competitive residency program and gallery in a 50,000 square-foot hub for creative engagement located in Newark, New Jersey.

Works selected for PLAY will debut in a pre-fair collaborative exhibition at Gateway this fall and in a dedicated exhibition at PULSE Miami Beach this December.

APPLY: To be considered for PLAY, we ask that artists and galleries refer one or two pieces of video work to info@projectforemptyspace.org and include "PULSE PLAY - ARTIST NAME" in the subject line. Entries are due by August 31, 2016 and final selections will be announced in late October.
