2nd edition of the North Atlantic International and Grand Prix Vladimir Malakhov Contest

Vladimir MALAKHOVContest Rules

The event will be hosted by the Cuban province of Holguín from September 20th to 30th, 2015.

Applicants to the Grand Prix Codanza choreography --- working media equivalent of $ 500 plus a chance of a choreography for the company --- over 18 years may submit only one work, any theme, with maximum of six dancers and a maximum of ten minutes, unreleased or released in time that not exceed one year, which have not been awarded in other contests.

Those who choose for the Grand Prix Vladimir Malakhov of interpretation --- working media equivalent of $ 1000 and an artistic work by Master Cosme Proenza, dancers between 18 to 35 years old, must present a pas de deux or a classic, neoclassic or contemporary solo, having a maximum length of ten minutes.

Performers, choreographers and companies worldwide may participate.

Companies that opt for the Grand Prix Vladimir Malakhov for companies ---working media equivalent to $ 3000 --- may submit a classical, neoclassical and contemporary choreography having a maximum length of thirty minutes.

The Paul Seaquist Award will be included, consisting of scholarships and specialization for summer courses in Alvin Ailey New York companies and Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, plus the Audience Award --- working media equivalent to $ 250 --- the best performer and choreographer.

Dancers and choreographers interested in participating will cover their own expenses for transportation, accommodation and meals.

The winning pieces in Vladimir Malakhov Grand Prix or Grand Prix Codanza will not be performed for a period of six months without prior approval of the executive staff of the competition.

The choreographies must be properly identified by title, author of choreography, country of nationality or residence, duration, used music, dancers who interpret it and company name. Also, a brief curriculum of the choreographer and / or dancer or dancers, more contestant identification data (name, address, phone, email).

The registration will be opened until July 30th with the statement: " 2nd edition of the North Atlantic International Contest, Codanza and Grand Prix Vladimir Malakhov.
