Cuban Recording House Bis Music Celebrates Latin Grammy Nomination

Cuban record label Bis Music celebrated today the nomination to the 2017 Latin Grammy for its album Cuba y Puerto Rico: Abrazo Musical Salsero, in the category of Best Salsa Album.

The album signed by Bis Music, compiles a series of songs interpreted by Cubans Mayito Rivera, Haila María Mompié, Yenisel Valdés, Eduardo 'Tiburón' Morales, Maria Victoria Rodríguez, Tania Pantoja, Mandy Cantero, Sixto Llorente 'El Indio'; Moisés Valle 'Yumurí', Noro Valladares and Yaíma Sáez.

They worked along with Puerto Ricans Papacho and Isidro Infante, who is the arranger of all themes and in his career of pianist, producer, arranger and composer, has accumulated seven Grammy Awards.

According to a statement by Bis Music, anthological salsa songs like 'No vale la pena' and 'La vida es un carnaval' appear in Cuba y Puerto Rico: Un Abrazo Musical Salsero.

The album counted on the artistic production of Infante and the musicologist Jose Manuel Garcia, and is specially aimed to the public that enjoys the traditional songbook of both islands.

The awards ceremony of the 18th Latin Grammy Awards, given by the Latin Recording Academy, will take place in the U.S. city of Las Vegas on November 16.
