Buenos Aires’ Banco Ciudad has inaugurated an exhibition on the photographic contest Gente de mi ciudad. The winners of the 13th edition were awarded during the event, which called over 3,200 amateur and professional photographers. Among over 5,000 works, the first prize was given to Santiago Filipuzzi for Tornado en la Capital.
This contest, which is aimed at encouraging and awarding the creativity, as well as promoting independent artistic productions, has been focused on the same topic for thirteen years, thus spreading social aspects and customs, showing their changes over the years.
The showcase includes forty-one pieces: 5 first prizes, 10 special mentions, 25 mentions, and mention Gente de mi Ciudad (Colage by Oscar Gogna), chosen by the public through Facebook. It will be open through February 17, 2013, at Recoleta Cultural Center.
