Antonio Córdoba Exhibits at Ronda, Malaga

During February, Antonio Cordoba will be exhibiting his latest works at the Silencios Efímeros (Short-lived Silences), slated to open at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos in Ronda.

Over sixty unpublished proposals make up this swatch in which Cordoba explores the cityscape and the different elements that surround it by scouring the phenomenon of human perception with suggestions as the key to laying out his entire work. Therefore, he comes up with impossible perspectives and bold compositions that invite spectators to be a part of all of them.

The title of the exhibition has to do with the interaction between the viewer and the pieces: the mystic silence of a cathedral, the noiselessness that dominates us as we walk down a zebra crossing. And all these elements are coupled with other artistic expressions: paintings, engravings and drawings executed with a number of techniques: oils, acrylics, aqua forte. And in this selection, engravings and etchings are no doubt the main course.

The exhibition hall at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos in Ronda, nestled in the former Santo Domingo Convent, is a history-laden building that was especially refurbished for the spread of the contemporary art.
