Armando Morales in FEMSA Collection

Figuras, oil painting signed by Nicaraguan master Armando Morales in the 1970s, joined FEMSA Collection, which already counts on over one thousand works created by artists from seven-teen countries of the region, such as Nicaragua, Cuba, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela.

The collection includes works of contemporary and modern art, since 1910 until 2010. We can mention El grande de España (El angel azul), an oil painting by Diego Rivera.

Armando Morales was a member of the first graduation of Nicaragua’s Fine Arts National School. In late 1950s, the artist won the Ernest Wolf prize at the Biennial of Sao Paulo, Brazil. It was the first of many international awards.

Femsa Collection is constantly trying to enrich its artistic treasure through exhaustive reseach and search. 2013 is going to be an intense year when several traveling exhibition are scheduled in Central and South America, a plan that includes 2014.
