The new edition of ROOM ART FAIR will be unfolding in Madrid Nov. 22-24, 2013, at the Praktik Metropol Hotel in the heart of the capital’s Gran Via. As in previous editions, gallery owners will be allowed to showcase their artists’ works during the day and stay overnight in the hotel rooms.
RAF#3 is pursuing to bring the arts closer to people from all walks of life, leaving them unbiased as it knocks down the barriers between visitors and market agents dealing with the participating artists. With that view in mind, nothing compares to a hotel in which each gallery will take a room to mount the expositions. What’s more, ROOM ART FAIR will foster a new kind of collection with hassle-free formats and affordable prices. The bottom line: the opportunity to do away with the elitism that surrounds art fairs and get closer to visitors.
ROOM ART FAIR wants to show its support to galleries and artists at a far more affordable price –starting at 750 euros- than in previous editions.
In addition to galleries hailing from all around the nation, the public will find publishing houses and bookstores specialized in arts, the selection of various projects to be curated, bloggers and media partners that make up this big-time cultural event in Madrid.
The RAF#3 team is young and comes from different disciplines, featuring a fresh and renewed vision in terms of exhibitions, marketing and spread of today’s art. This initiative, fully bankrolled with private funds, has never received any public money to get the job done, no doubt a new way of fostering culture all around.
