The 2017 Excelencias Awards to Be Presented in Cuba

The Excelencias Awards have become a benchmark in the tourism and gastronomy realm in Iberian America. The awards ceremony takes place in three countries –Spain, Mexico and Cuba, where it is scheduled to hold its seventh edition on February 22, 20:30 hours, at the Covarrubias Hall of Cuba’s National Theater.

The international edition of these awards took place within the framework of FITUR International Fair in January, in Madrid, Spain, when Cuba was praised as a safe travel destination, a title that made headlines both in Cuban territory and around the world.

The awards ceremony at the National Theater will be attended by members of the diplomatic corps registered in Cuba, entrepreneurs, executives from national entities, award winners from previous editions, among others.

Alexis Vazquez will be in charge of the cultural gala as artistic director, accompanied by such acclaimed artists as Haydée Milanés, Polito Ibáñez, Cucurucho Valdés, Lírico Nacional, Vocal Renacer, Habana Compás Dance and the Symphonic Orchestra.

The EXCELENCIAS GROUP (www.excelencias.com) has specialized in providing products and services related to different spheres of communication, such as the publishing of its own magazines and products for customers, advertising and marketing, sales incentives, among others.

The group is a member of CTO (Caribbean Tourism Organization) and CHTA (Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association), and it signed a collaboration agreement with UNESCO. The EXCELENCIAS AWARDS were created back in 2005 by this media group in a bid to foster excellence in different spheres related to the travel industry and culture.

They have become a benchmark for people who work in this important sector and do their best to achieve excellence.

This year round, the awards will be given to twenty figures and institutions from different spheres, who have stood out throughout their lifetime or in 2017. The second edition of the Mexico Excelencias Awards will be later announced.
