Stars to Participate in 21 French Film Festival in Cuba

The 21st French Film Festival in Cuba will be full of stars, said one of its founders, the French director Christophe Barratier, after confirming the attendance of an exceptional delegation to this event.

Together with his colleague Nouredine Essadi, Barratier created the first edition of the event 21 years ago and the festival soon became one of the most popular and expected by the Cuban audience, with figures close to 100 thousand spectators.

Barratier confirmed the return of the great blond of the black shoe to Cuba, as the sympathetic French actor Pierre Richard is known worldwide, who more than a decade ago, received the Cesar, a French Film Academy award, for his career.

He also confirmed that the acclaimed director Claire Denis will arrive in this capital in a few hours to present his new film A Sun Inside, interpreted by Juliette Binoche, Philippe Katerine, Josiane Balasko, Sandrine Dumas, Xavier Beauvois, Alex Descas and Gerard Depardieu, among others artists.

For this film, in 2017 the director won the SADC Prize (awarded by the Society of Dramatic Authors and Composers) at the Cannes Film Festival.

Likewise, Havana will also be visited by actors Jean-Paul Rouve and Kad Merad; the actress Audrey Dana, the producer Olivier Delbosc and the director David Foekinos, who is also a very successful screenwriter.
