Varadero wears rumba, jazz and son

From August 22 to 25, the Varadero Josone Festival will return: rumba, jazz and son, encounter that in its second edition proposes four nights full of musical excellence in the largest resort on the Island. Music, summer and beach come back together in an ideal location: Varadero, Cuba's main tourist destination.

After a first edition, prestigious for the curatorship of the event and the presence of foreign artists such as Gilberto Santa Rosa, Álvaro Torres and José Alberto "El Canario", together with icons of Cuban popular music, the Varadero Josone Festival ...; starts again from the hand of its creator and Honorary President Issac Delgado, who aspires to consolidate the event as one of the largest of its kind in the international circuit.

Promoted by the Company of Recordings and Musical Editions (EGREM), with the collaboration of the Ministry of Culture of Cuba, the Ministry of Tourism, the Cuban Institute of Music and the Palmares Extrahotelera Company -among other institutions-, the Festival shelters in this opportunity a plural poster in groups and genres, represented by great exponents of popular Cuban dance music and international guests.

Sounds of Afro-Cuban and urban music, timba, jazz, son, rumba and salsa, are featured in a program designed for the most demanding dancer and composed -among other names-, by local artists and groups such as Issac Delgado and his Orchestra, Formell y Los Van Van, Adalberto Álvarez y su Son, Francisco (Pancho) Céspedes, Pupy y los que Son Son, Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco, Alexander Abreu y Havana D´ Primera, Eme Alfonso, Paulo FG y su Élite, Descemer Bueno, Haila María Mompié, Ivette Cepeda, Buena Fe, Muñequitos de Matanzas, Yoruba Andabo, Alain Pérez y la Orquesta, Jacob Forever and Divan.

From other points of the geography will come to Varadero Josone ...; Eva Ayllón, nine-time Latin Grammy-nominated performer and considered a bulwark of culture in Peru, as well as Weedie Braimah and The Hands of Time (Ghana), jazz ambassadors, African rhythms, funk, the so-called "world music" and hip-hop, and Quintero's Latin Jazz Project, recognized Venezuelan alignment.

Tickets to access the concerts - which will take place in Josone Park - can be purchased at the various points of the Cultural Tourism Agency Paradiso, in both Havana and Varadero. In addition, in the spa city, tickets can be obtained in the multiple spaces of the Palmares ExtraHotelera Company, in the EGREM Music House and in the Josone Park itself.

Destination preferred by local and foreign tourists, Varadero will once again be a place for good music with the confluence, for four nights, of some of the best dance music groups on the Island and talented international guests. Gold closure for a summer stage that will sound like rumba, jazz and son in one of the most paradisiacal places in Cuba.
