Completed serigraphy printing by López Oliva

With the title of "El pueblo soy yo", Manuel López Oliva's serigraphic work - on the open screen - was completed, held at the René Portocarrero Workshop (Calle Cuba between Muralla and Teniente Rey, Old Havana) of Génesis. Art Galeries.

With an edition of 50 prints that will be made available to collectors and lovers of art in general, that multiple original is integrated into the images where history and masquerade merge with an open and paradoxical sense, typical of the distinctive artistic production of this Cuban author of our time.

The appropriate cardboard piece in question contains 10 runs of white, black, silver and gray modified in tone. It was developed by the double procedure of tracings created by the artist and brush blocks on the same printing screen. The joint action of López Oliva and the young print-artists Carlos Almeida and Jessica Vázquez made possible to have a new graphic vision of the genre, which is not simply a reproduction of a painting, but an autonomous serial work of art, conceived in the same process printing, through the joint search of the printers with the painter who signs it. That gives it a special meaning and value.
