Ciego de Avila, Cuba.- The call for the II Festival Habanarte-2015 to be held in September, was launched here by representants of the Ministry of Culture (Mincult). The Director of Communications of the Mincult, Ivet Leiva, said in this eastern province that the event aims to show the public of Havana the best of the national art in its various spaces.
According to Leiva, a hundred of venues of the capital will show all manifestations of culture from September 10 to 20, in order to provide "all art at once" for the enjoyment of Cubans and visitors.
She added it will be a very comprehensive event showcasing the best of every artistic expression such as music, dance, literature and visual arts; inherited from the cultural richness left by the XII Biennial of Havana.
There will be also hold side events like the Iberian Guitar Festival, the Cuban Piano Festival and a tribute to the diva of the Buena Vista Social Club Omara Portuondo, as well as the participation of the singer Eliades Ochoa.
Coordinated by the Ministry of Culture and the Paradiso Agency, Habanarte-2015 will demonstrate the rich artistic range that the Cuban people and foreign visitors can enjoy in different cultural institutions.
Additionally, the roots of culture and the novelty of the avant-garde expressions of today's Cuba will be known through workshops, conferences and meetings with authors.
