Dominican Republic’s 27th National Visual Arts Biennale, Program of Events Comes to an End

The Ministry of Culture, Museum of Modern Art and the Organizing Committee of the Biennale have brought the program of ludic and theoretical events to a close, and the National Visual Arts Biennale remains open through November 17.

“Domingo Liz íntimo” was the theme of the talk that set the end of the program of theoretical events within the 27th Biennale, and it was headed by artists Fernando Varela and Iris Perez, and the son of the passed artist, Pablo Liz. It took place at the MAM’s Auditorium.

The program of ludic events came to an end at the Museum’s frontal open area, with “Noche de Ritmos Tropicales”, livened up by Urbanova group, made up of Cristian Alexis, Anibal Coronado, Cesar Recio, Leon Guzman, Carlos Lora and Juan Carlos Santana.

The public enjoyed such songs as: “Donde guardo mi calor”, “Dame”, “Quisiera”, "Reciclando Palabras", "Son tus Ojos", "Hoy eres mía", "Cuando te mire" and "Presumes", among other hits.

Afterwards, “Cibercity 3001”, by artist Luis Arias, was announced as the winner of the “Award to the public’s pick”.

The 27th National Visual Arts Biennale will be open to the public every day, 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., through November 17 at Dominican Republic’s Museum of Modern Art.
