Art Basel Paris 2025 Announces Exhibitor List and Key Highlights of Upcoming Edition

Art Basel has released the initial details of its fourth edition in Paris, which will be the second to take place in the historic Grand Palais. The fair is scheduled for October 24–26, 2025, with VIP Preview Days on October 22 and 23, and a public vernissage on the evening of October 23.

This year’s edition will feature 203 galleries from 40 countries and territories, including 25 first-time participants. More than one-third of exhibitors operate spaces in Paris, reinforcing the city’s position as a major hub for contemporary art and cultural innovation.

Three Exhibition Sectors: Galeries, Emergence, and Premise

The fair is organized into three main sectors:

  • Galeries: The main sector will include 177 leading galleries showcasing works of modern, postwar, and contemporary art. It will feature solo, duo, and group presentations, including individual shows by artists such as Evelyn Taocheng Wang, Gala Porras-Kim, Jasper Marsalis, Binta Diaw, and Abraham Lincoln Walker.
  • Emergence: Dedicated to young galleries and emerging artists, this sector will present 16 solo booths located on the balconies of the Grand Palais. Eight galleries will be participating for the first time, including Gauli Zitter (Brussels), Molitor (Berlin), Ginny on Frederick (London), and Blindspot (Hong Kong).
  • Premise: Launched in 2024, this sector focuses on curated presentations with a thematic or historical perspective, including works created before 1900. Ten galleries will participate, such as Kadel Wilborn (Düsseldorf), Martine Aboucaya (Paris), Tina Kim Gallery (New York), The Gallery of Everything (London), and Pauline Pavec (Paris).

Public Program and Institutional Partnerships

The Art Basel Paris Public Program will once again unfold in collaboration with major cultural institutions in the city. Miu Miu returns as the official partner of the program. Among the highlights is an outdoor exhibition at the Jardin des Tuileries, organized in partnership with the Musée du Louvre and curated by Mouna Mekouar.

Additionally, the Oh La La! initiative will return, inviting galleries in the Galeries sector to present rarely seen or unexpected works in experimental formats, on October 24 and 25. For the first time, participants will be asked to respond to a proposed thematic starting point.

Exhibitions Across the City

During the week of the fair, numerous Parisian institutions will host major exhibitions, including:

  • Musée d'Orsay: “Sargent. The Paris Years (1874–1884)” and a special dialogue between Bridget Riley and Georges Seurat.
  • Musée du Louvre: An exhibition on Jacques-Louis David.
  • Palais de Tokyo: Curated by Naomi Beckwith, featuring Raphaël Barontini and others.
  • Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris: Retrospectives on George Condo and Otobong Nkanga.
  • Fondation Louis Vuitton: A major show dedicated to Gerhard Richter.
  • Additional programming from Jeu de Paume, MEP, Institut du Monde Arabe, Musée du Luxembourg, and others.
