Carlos Garaicoa, Mabel Poblet and Yunior Marino in “After the Void”

The “After the Void” collective exhibit opened on April 11 in London. The exposition culls a select group of artists, such as Cuba's Carlos Garaicoa, Mabel Poblet and Yunior Marino, whose artworks have tapped into the states of existence and conscience by representing a quasi-microscopic inner world that results from meditation. Curated by Maria Vega (Ministry of Nomads), “After the Void” scours first of all the ties of the spatial dimensions provided by painting, sculpturing and performance by adding the work of contemporary artists and that of a younger breed of emerging creators. Made up of different pieces in terms of means and techniques, the artworks and the performances depict self-momentous events which are not subordinated to rational analysis. The exhibit will remain open from April 11 at the Ministry of Nomads (MON), a space for research, collaboration, discussion and debate. Founded in 2008 as a commercial, educational and philanthropic platform for both seasoned and emerging artists from Cuba and Iran, the Ministry of Nomads is now a community on the rise that harbors international artists, curators and art-loving people.
