Art Basel Hong Kong Conversations

Curated by writer and editor Stephanie Bailey, the Art Basel Hong Kong Conversations will take the pulse of the contemporary art scene and its markets across Asia and beyond.

The program will continue with Asia’s Self-Sustaining Art Scenes on April 29, bringing together gallerists from across the region to discuss how their work has evolved within a network of global and regional art markets and contexts. Within this frame, they will consider how old paradigms of 'global' validation have shifted.

On May 13, Defining ‘Global’ China: Contemporary Art in China, Now will explore the changing landscape of Chinese contemporary art, both within the country and on the global stage.

Further talks will include a conversation with Asia Art Archive on independent art initiatives in Hong Kong, and a roundtable discussion based on the findings of The Art Basel and UBS Global Art Market Report.
