Havana.- More than 300 guests from 31 countries confirmed their participation in the 27th International Book Fair, Cuba 2018, scheduled from February 1st to 11th in Havana, said the Organizing Committee of the event today.
Vice president of the Cuban Book Institute Edel Morales said at a press conference that 318 guests have been confirmed among intellectuals, authors and exhibitors, of whom 104 are writers, a number that he said will be increased.
He said that the event will have a large program with the presence of China, the guest of honor of the event.
The event envisages the presence of publishing houses such as Ediciones Aurelia, Comics y Cuentos, Editora Popular, and Selvi Editores, while Cuba will be represented by almost all publishing houses, Arte y literatura, Nuevo Milenio, Jose Marti and Letras Cubanas, amid others.
A major significance will be the presence of Ediciones Boloña, which will represent the work of Eusebio Leal, historian of Havana and National Social Sciences Prize, to whom the 27th International Book Fair is dedicated.
The event will take place at Fortaleza San Carlos de la Cabaña, and 22 venues more in various areas of the capital city.
