In statements compiled by the newspaper Nation News, Barbadian Culture Minister Stephen Lashley highlighted the great interest by the different Caribbean representatives in being included in the current edition of the event, which they said would be diverse and with a lasting legacy.

Lashley encouraged Barbadians to contribute to the organization of the parade and collaborate with the development of more than 500 events that will be held from August 17-27, the best the Caribbean has to offer in literature, music, art, dance, cinema and theater.
