Two exclusive exhibitions dedicated to the region and Lebanon

From the Olivéa series, a tribute to the goddess of the olive tree composed of sixteen paintings, these eight ceramics, produced by the Seine Maritime department (France), are one of Etel Adnan's last projects before she passed away in Paris (2021). They were produced at the Pôle Céramique Normandie and required several months of research by the ceramist Alexandra Catelain-Orange.

The material brilliantly and sensitively translates the work of the Lebanese painter and poetess and is part of a long practice of this discipline for the artist.

Etel Adnan's works can be found in numerous collections, including the MNAM-Centre Pompidou (Paris), MoMA (New York), M+ (Hong Kong), Institut du Monde Arabe (Paris), the British Museum (London), the Tate Gallery (London), the National Museum for Women in the Arts (Washington D.C.), as well as in numerous private collections.

Cultural Narratives : 63 MENA artists... in one format!

The Cultural Narratives collection, conceived by Selections magazine, brings together more than 400 works in a unique 20 x 20 cm format. For the first time in Europe, this exhibition presents a brilliant extract of this original idea.

This extensive new collection of works by established and emerging talents from the MENA region offers a breathtaking visual map of Middle Eastern artistic talent, with unique works from Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates.

Travelling across the world, the exhibition highlights the prolific art scene in the region, while conveying the uniqueness of each country represented. Established, mid-career and emerging artists from the above countries have been carefully selected by Selections.

On the cover: A selection of 63 works - one per artist.
