Brazil to Have its Own Miami Show

The first edition of Brazil ArtFair is scheduled to be held on December 4 - 8 and represents the first fair for Brazilian art galleries, aimed at making the most of the dynamism of Miami Art Week, which gathers over 20 shows, with Art Basel Miami Beach playing a leading role. This new private initiative, started up by Michel Serebrinsky, an entrepreneur that lives in Brazil, targets the promotion and internationalization of Brazilian art market. To do so, its organizers are looking forward to putting together 40 Brazilian galleries –whose names are still unknown -, within a 38,000-square-meter fairground, located in Miami Midtown, near Wynwood Art District, where some of the sector’s most important and veteran fairs are held, as well as others that have been recently created, just like Jusmad MIA show, launched last year by Spanish Art Fairs company, whose second edition has been already announced on its website for early December.

After Spain, which last year attended Miami fair week with 34 galleries, Brazil was the second best represented Latin American country with other 16, most of which (14) participated in the main show.
