In the course of this conceptual artist emphasizes its reflection on English culture and its historical and policies in the context of a post-industrial capitalist society and multicultural contradictions. Deller is the English popular culture from their stereotypes, appropriating symbols, icons and objects of popular culture. In his works it becomes clear how the artist moves away from the production of objects to give rise to collective action.

Approach to the popular

Infinitely Variable popular ideal of what is articulated around three axes: "They fucked you ..." ("They fuck you"), "Miner's stories" ("Stories of miners") and "An artist of the people" ("An artist of the people"). In each various subjects, such as art circuit, the working culture in England and the British popular culture are discussed. His approach to the popular and toward pop culture of the 90s is imbued with humor.

From the recreation of situations related to historical events, Jeremy Deller, 2004 Turner Prize, his work explores the relationship between art, memory and history. This is evident in iconic pieces like The Battle of Orgreave (2001), which brought together nearly 1,000 people in a recreation of a confrontation of the 1984 miners' strike; or, through the rescue of characters, such as So Many Ways To Hurt You. The Life And Times of Adrian Street (2010), piece that portrays the life of a professional wrestler transvestite who comes from a family of coal miners.

After passing through the CA2M, the sample can be seen throughout 2015 and 2016 in the MUAC University Museum of Contemporary Art (Mexico DF) and BOW (Buenos Aires), continued with the already established cooperation between the three institutions Foundation.
