"a3bandas2015" essential event in the annual calendar of contemporary art

The Ministry of Education, through the Office for the Promotion of the Fine Arts, supports for the fifth consecutive year the program a3bandas2015 exhibitions, artistic initiative to be held in Madrid from April 11 to May 23 and which has already become a fixture in the annual calendar of contemporary art event.

It is a project organized by Hablarenarte, produced by the Ministry of Education and has the support of the Community of Madrid and patronage of Absolut.

The proposal is that during the months of April and May, the 22 participating galleries invite an independent commissioner to design an ad hoc exposure for their spaces. It tries to open a door heterogeneous visitor galleries, strengthen their work with independent curators, collectors and seek promote high quality exhibition projects. Add to this the forces of the 3 participants: Art Galleries + + commissioners artists. During the 8-week meetings with them, performances, lectures, screenings will occur will be organized, etc.

The inauguration of the fifth edition of a3bandas2015 in Madrid will be held Saturday April 11, and the participating galleries keep their doors 12 am to 20.30 open. pm, uninterrupted schedule.

There will be an official tour with authorities and press, which throughout the day will cover two main areas of concentration of galleries: Huertas / Atocha and Salesas / Conde Duque.

For those wishing to join the two meeting points are Saturday at 12 am at the Ponce + Robles gallery and 17 hours in the gallery Married Santapau.

To close the day, was organized with the support of Absolut, a party that will serve as meeting professionals to discuss the exhibitions visited during the day.

This issue announces the "Audience Award" again. Through a popular voting ballots in urns deposited in the galleries, the winner will acquire work in any of the participating galleries worth 1,000 euros, while Absolut acquire work for 3,000 euros in the most voted exhibition.

There will also be prizes Jury: revelation Commissioner Prize, Shoot and Smile a3bandas2015 and A3Bandas New Artist Award 2015.

Activities on the web

Through newsletters and "News" web www.a3bandas.org section, the relevant public can enter actively in the various cultural events featuring galleries, living spaces to see and enjoy contemporary art.

One of the main challenges of the fifth edition of A3Bandas is to promote the online dissemination of their exhibitions. The immediacy blog platform format, laying on the Red contents almost immediately, is an attractive way to reach a wide audience.

To this end, it has invited several bloggers and art critics to visit Madrid during the first days of A3Bandas to write different stories and articles about the exhibitions and activities of this edition. All guests will reside in the Casa de Velázquez, a partner institution A3Bandas 2015.
