"Jugadores de cartas" exhibition at the Lumbreras de Bilbao Gallery

The opening of the "Jugadores de cartas" exhibition of the artist Miguel Peña (Madrid, 1951) to be held at the Lumbreras de Bilbao Gallery next April 8 at 19:30 h local time.

In this exhibition, Miguel Peña presents a collection of 40 pictures based on a unique image on the napes game, which is worked by the artist with painting, collage, drawing, etc. This way, "Jugadores de cartas" is created presenting a version for each one of the napes. He changes the cards players into men in fomr of animals, gangsters or circus characters and treat them with an evident irony and social satire.

Also, the keep offering the exhibition called "Por los campos del tiempo" by painter Melquiades Álvarez (Gijón, 1956). This exhibition is made of small and medium format 17 works.  All of them are painted in oil and acrylic on paper and wood supports, on which the artist has practiced crack and relieves marking the nature of his painting.

Both exhibitions are opened to the public until May 16 during the usual hours of the gallery: Monday to Frifat, from 11:00 h to 14:00 h and from 17:00 to 21:00. It is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
