After several performances overseas since the early days of 2015, Laritza Bacallao, a member of the catalogue of Artex’s Clave Cubana artistic representation agency, is now ready to win back her public with a concert scheduled to take place at the capital’s Karl Marx Theater on September 4, 8:30 pm.
With this show the singer will be celebrating her 20 years of artistic career and 5 with her present band. She’s also going to officially launch her album entitled Solo se vive una vez, which comprises such songs as “Carnaval”, “Que Suenen los Tambores” and “Se te fue el Avion”, hits that have been aired by Cuban radio stations. The album is going to be sold that very day at the theater.
With the artistic direction of producer Rudy Mora, the list of guest artists is made up of Free Dance Company, PMM (Por un Mundo Mejor) and singers Candido Fabre and JG, who will accompany Laritza Bacallao in “Hello Baby”, which is very popular in Cuban radio stations.
According to Laritza Bacallao, granddaughter of Rafael Bacallao’s and daughter of Ernesto Bacallao’s, two singers of acclaimed Cuban Aragon Band, “Karl Marx Theater will be flooded by joy and positive energy, because that’s what we want to share with the people”.
Laritza is presently making the arrangements for this special concert, but she’s also handpicking the songs to be culled in her next album, to be characterized by her Cuban-based Caribbean and tropical style.
Tickets have been for sale at the theater since Thursday August 27.
