Photo Exhibit on Fidel Castro Opens in Buenos Aires

The Cultural Center for Cooperation of Buenos Aires, Argentina, opened a photo exhibit depicting moments of the speech given by Cuban Revolution leader Fidel Castro at the stairs of the Law Faculty at the University of Buenos Aires back in 2003.

The exhibit, entitled “The Chronicle of an Unforgettable Day,” by photographer Gabriel Aguirre, was opened by cultural center vice-director Horacio Lopez along with Cuban ambassador to Argentina Orestes Lopez, and the leader of the workers´ union at the university, Jorge Anro.

Vice-director Lopez recalled that this is the second photo exhibit at his center on the historic leader as last year their galleries displayed a previous one with photos taken by five photographers, including Cuban Alex Castro and they published a book containing all the pictures.

Cuban ambassador Orestes Perez closed the presentation with a biographic look at the life and work of Fidel, in which he stressed his personality and said the Fidel marked the history of Latin America and the Caribbean.
