In an exercise of synesthesia, Estefanía Martín Sáenz (Bilbao, 1982) transfers words by Emily Dickinson to canvas and drawing trace, giving them a new dimension where the visual and the literary hold hands.
In 2015 she was given the First Award in Drawing DKV-MAKMA with her artwork Las Ausentes, she is now presenting her new productions. It seems like if the classical opposition between poetry and painting, ut pictura poesis, had found here a comfortable place to lay down and be solved. An exhibition around the word and the visual that invites us to get closer to Estefanía's creative universe.
