The Rolling Stones Says "Hello Cuba!" to Audience

Havana.-A few days before its first concert in Cuba, The Rolling Stones today showed its desire to perform on the island with video in Spanish sent to Prensa Latina by the band's marketing agents. "Hello Cuba! We are very happy to perform for you," Mick Jagger, leader of the band, said.

"We have performed in many special places during our long career, but this concert will be historic for us and we hope for all our friends in Cuba too," the vocalist said.

"Thank you for welcoming us to your beautiful country, we hope to see you on March 25th at Havana's Ciudad Deportiva Stadium," the message concluded.

The free concert will take place in the capital on Friday at 20:30 local time. It is expected to last two hours and 15 minutes. Both national and internal fans are expected to attend.

The band's agent, Bernard Doherty has previously said that the concert was the brain child of the band, which he began to manage more than six months ago.

The concert will close the British Music Week in Havana, which began on March 18.

It will also be the end of the band's America Latina 'Ole' tour, which has received rave reviews after performances in stadiums in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Peru, Colombia and Mexico.
