Arte para Mamá Fair to open soon

The 12th National Crafts Fair Arte para Mamá will be inaugurated next April 25 and will be open until May 5 at Pabexpo in Havana.

 

Mercy Correa, director of the National Handicrafts Center under the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets that organizes the event, informed during a press conference they will commercialize their products in a total of 15 institutional stands including the provincial branches of Pinar del Río, Artemisa- Mayabeque, La Habana, Cienfuegos, Villa Clara, Matanzas, Sancti Spíritus, Ciego de Ávila, Camagüey and Las Tunas.

 

Havana galleries Víctor Manuel, Forma and the ACCA will be represented in the Fair with their works likewise the Boyeros, Furniture and the well-known designer Freixas stores, also from the capital city.    

 

There will be a total of 257 individual stands with utilitarian articles and artistic works and the participation of Granma, Santiago de Cuba and Isla de la Juventud besides the other provinces represented.   

 

Several cultural enterprises will join the Fair as it is already usual: EGREM, Distribuidora Nacional del Libro, Génesis,  Centro Provincial del Libro, ARTEX,   ICAIC, Quitrín, Coral Negro and the National Council of Visual Arts, that will sell reproductions visual arts works.

 

Mercy Correa reaffirmed the Fair organizers interest to present attractive designs for the exhibit spaces. There will be new designs or models, fundamentally in the stands of shoes and textiles.   

 

She also remembered that the central purpose of this Fair are the products dedicated to Mothers, but the public in general will be able to find fine quality articles for everybody.

The 12th National Crafts Fair Arte para Mamá will open its doors every day from April 25, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm and will only close on May 1st.
