Descemer Bueno Kicks Off Cuba Road Tour

Penciled in as today’s most important and popular Cuban musician, songwriter and performer, Descemer Bueno, who belongs to the catalog of Musicalia, the Artistic Representation Agency run by Artex, told the press last week at the Parque Central Hotel that he’ll be embarking on his first nationwide road tour from June 15-30.

His tour includes presentations at the Guantanamo’s Plaza Policultural on June 15; the Mariana Grajales Amphitheater on June 17; the Calixto Garcia Baseball Stadium in Holguin (19); the San Juan de Dios Square in Camagüey (22), the Varadero Amphitheater in Matanzas (25), wrapping up this first leg on June 30 at the parking lot of the Latinoamericano Ballpark in Havana.

In these performances, the author of “Lloro por ti” has culled a rep made of songs of his own that were first put on the musical map by Enrique Iglesias and Juan Luis Guerra, Luz Casal, Winsin & Yandel and Rosario Flores, just to name but a few singers. Those tunes, however, never gave Bueno media hype until 2012 when started performing live in Cuba.

In addition, Mr. Bueno will also sing songs from his album Bueno and will premiere others contained in his double album entitled Cuerpo y Alma -still in progress- that features tunes he wrote last year, such as Mátame, Pastillas para dormir, Te dejaré de amar and ¿Dónde estás?

Before putting his press conference to an end, the Cuban artist thanked institutions like Artex, record labels like Musicalia and Bis Music-it also belongs to Artex and the Cuban Music Institute- for their effort and collaboration in making this first-ever nationwide road tour a dream come true.
