Circuba 2016 kicks off in Havana

HAVANA.- The 15th 2016 Circuba International Summer Circus Festival began this Monday at Trompoloco Cultural Center with a gala by the Havana Company, including spectacular acts.

 

The highlights went to the Russian bar, much appreciated by the public, and the flight of the white devils, recently released in Europe with great success and that has never been premiered in Cuba.

 

Until February 17, the Trompoloco tent will host this meeting, the largest on the continent and one of the oldest three in the world, and this time will gather artists from 17 countries from the Americas, Asia and Europe.

 

David Ralph Adamovich, from United States, the fastest and most accurate knife thrower in the world, Argentine Maria Celeste in figure skating and balance with dishes, and the Ecuadorian duo of flying ring, Enominne Danza Aerea, are among the most prominent acts by foreign artists.

 

 There will be double shifts, at four pm and nine in the evening, and the awards gala will be on the 16th, followed by the show of the winners, also with double sessions.

 

The tour Circuba travels through Cuba will begin upon completion of the shows in Havana, and it will visit 48 locations across the country in Pinar del Rio, Mayabeque, Isla de la Juventud, Villa Clara, Ciego de Avila, Santiago de Cuba, Guantanamo, Las Tunas, Sancti Spiritus, Cienfuegos and Matanzas.

 

Echoes of Circuba Festival, a varied show with artists from Havana Company, will take place at Trompoloco tent from July 20th to September 4th, from Thursday to Sunday with double shifts at four and seven pm.
