Cuban Musicians Organize Tribute to Victims of Earthquake in Italy

Havana.- The top figures of the National Lyrical Theater of Cuba (TLN) will perform on September 10 in a concert to honor the victims of the earthquake that shook central Italy.

 


According to a communiqué from the organizers, published in this capital, performers include the sopranos Milagros de los Angeles, Pilar Pousada and Aliozka Jimenez, and the tenors Irelio Perez, Roger Quintana, Jorge Felix Leyva and Saheed Mohamed, who will be accompanied by members of the TLN Choir.

 

At the same time, clarinetist Janio Abreu, violinist Leonardo Perez and pianist Gabriel Chorens will be invited to perform in the concert.

 

The Ernesto Lecuona Hall at the Alicia Alonso Grand Theater of Havana will host the concert, which will consist of music by Italian composers from different periods and styles.

 

Helson Hernandez will be the artistic director, and Roberto Chorens will be the general director of the show.
