Solo Galerie. Kuehn Malvezzi / Pezo Von Ellrichshausen

For its new season 2016 Solo Galerie is proud to present a rich programme, in keeping with its involvement with artists and architects that has been its hallmark since its opening.

The space in rue des Arquebusiers will house an exhibition about architects Kuehn Malvezzi’s emblematic project, House of One, which will bring under one roof a synagogue, a mosque and a Christian church in the heart of Berlin.

Concurrently, CENTQUATRE-PARIS will unveil a monumental installation - a graphic version of the same project traced on the ground - in order to encourage the circulation of people and ideas.

Finally the FIAC 2016 edition will present an eight-metrehigh monumental structure, Deci, by architects Pezo Von Ellrichshausen, which is currently being shown by the gallery at the Venice International Architectural Exhibition.

SOLO GALERIE.

Since its launch in 2015 Solo Galerie has been acting as an international platform for the presentation of art projects by worldrenowned architects. The brainchild of property developer and entrepreneur Christian Bourdais and contemporary art events producer Eva Albarran, Solo Galerie has been developing a specific curatorial policy by working with architects using art as a personal means of expression.

Thus, the gallery’s first exhibitions featured Studio Mumbai’s emblematic architect, Bijoy Jain, who presented essays on matter, Dutch architect Anne Holtrop, who displayed an amazing talent with stone, and Bas Princen, who ranks amongst the greatest architectural photographers of our time.

As part of Solo Projects, the gallery’s extramural programme punctuated with major contemporary art events, will also be shown a work by Smiljan Radic during FIAC (International contemporary art fair) in the Tuileries Garden.
