Pierce, Mark, Morph and Drawing Line into Form

Join us for the opening reception for Pierce, Mark, Morph and Drawing Line into Form: Works on Paper by Sculptors from the Collection of BNY Mellon. 

Pierce, Mark, Morph explores piercings, markings and cranial modification in Pre-Columbian sculpture alongside work by contemporary artists who utilize the body as canvas to comment on questions of race, gender, environment and identity. 

Drawing Line into Form features nearly 60 works by some of the contemporary art world’s most recognizable figures, including Anish Kapoor, Sol Lewitt, Maya Lin, and Kiki Smith, amongst others.
