Miami New Media Festival announced its 2017 Open Call for Artists


The Arts Connection Foundation calls for videoartists, animators and creators worldwide to participate in the 11th edition of the Miami New Media Festival 2017.

The MNMF is a public art project that every October since 2006 invites international artists to Florida with the purpose of placing videoart within urban life, bring to light creative work and promote the interaction between the work and the audience.

Artists of from 16 years old and from any nationality interested in presenting works crafted or performed between 2016 and 2017 may participate. The works must have a length of 2:30 to 7 minutes, be in English, Spanish or French (with subtitles in any of said three languages) and the topic of the videoart is completely free and to the taste of the creator. The admission requisites are found at: The organization will receive applications until July 15th, 2017, and will provide a list of the selected applicants on September 01st, 2017.

The creators of the works selected shall be informed through the email registered, and said works shall also be published in the web page of the festival and the web page of the Arts Connection and social media. The Miami New Media Festival 2017 will be held on October of this year.

For the Arts Connection it is a pleasure to promote the talent of animators and videoartists, and to encourage them into public spaces!
