Cuba: Exhibition Dedicated to Photographer Alberto Korda for His 90th

An exhibition of Alberto Korda´s patrimony in honor of the 90th anniversary of his birth will open on September 14 at the Fototeca de Cuba, it was informed on social networks.

The exhibition will be called La Habana: Obsesiones Interruptas. La mujer en la fotografia de Korda. (Havana: Interrupted Obsessions. Women in Korda's photograph) and, as the title indicates, it will be a tribute to the work of the artist, especially the dozens of women photographed by him.

According to the organizers, a great amount of the works in the sample comes from the 50,000 negatives about the Revolution that are kept in the archives of the Council of State of Cuba.

In addition, there are some copies in gelatin silver preserved by old models and some antique publications.

The exhibition aims to recompose that creative route of feminine beauty that was fragmented in its creation.
