Sotheby’s is delighted to offer property from the collection of Jacques Grange, one of today’s preeminent interior designers, renowned for his refined and eclectic taste.

The 150 lots on sale feature works by leading artists and with prestigious pedigrees - a number of them having been formerly collected by André Breton, René Crevel, Paul Eluard, Eugenia Errazuriz, Pierre Matisse, Marie-Laure de Noailles, Yves Saint Laurent and Maurice Thorez.

Assembled with erudition and passion, this collection is a mix of modern and contemporary art, 20th century design, photographs, antiques, 19th century drawings and Symbolist works. It gathers an impressive list of prominent artists and designers: Victor Brauner, Alexander Calder, Max Ernst, Jean-Michel Frank, Alberto and Diego Giacometti, Eileen Gray, Hector Guimard, Damien Hirst, David Hockney, Joseph Hoffman, Donald Judd, Paul Klee, Archibald Knox, Claude and François-Xavier Lalanne, Fernand Léger, Henri Matisse, Joan Miro, Alexandre Noll, Armand-Albert Rateau, Hiroshi Sugimoto, and Yves Tanguy.
