'Young Masters Art Prize' presented by Cynthia Corbett Gallery, London

We look forward to the upcoming featured exhibition of Young Masters Art Prize, presented by Cynthia Corbett Gallery, London, an international initiative committed to supporting and promoting emerging talents from diverse backgrounds.

Founded by gallerist Cynthia Valianti Corbett in 2009, Young Masters seeks to provide a platform for artists working in various media, who draw inspiration from artistic traditions of the past.

At the core of Young Masters is the triennial Art Prize, independently judged by an illustrious panel, offering emerging artists an opportunity to showcase their work globally. The initiative includes an international program of touring exhibitions and participation in art fairs, alongside a dynamic online presence, ensuring broad exposure for these promising talents.

Recognizing the growing interest in contemporary craft, Young Masters introduced the Maylis Grand Ceramic Prize in 2014. In 2017, the inaugural Young Masters Emerging Women Award celebrated female artists’ contributions.

In 2023, Young Masters made a return following the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, presenting its 6th edition of the Prize at the 2024 LA Art Show. This edition stands out for its cultural diversity and strong representation of female-identifying artists, with 75% of applicants fitting this category.

The impact of Young Masters is evident, serving as a platform for over 350 artist alumni from across the globe. Notable alumni include British ceramicist and curator Matt Smith, British painter Flora Yukhnovich, South-African artists Gigs Kgole and ceramicist Lucille Lewin, artist duo Ghost of a Dream, and U.S.-based Iranian artist Azita Moradkhani.

We invite you to join us at the 2024 LA Art Show as we celebrate the talents nurtured by the Young Masters Art Prize and explore how these artists reinterpret the past to shape the future of art.
