Highlights of the sector will include a restaging of Jannis Kounellis’ (b.1936) seminal work ‘Da inventare sul posto’ (1972), a hybrid of painting and performance in which a violinist playing a section of ‘La Pulcinella’ is joined by an un-choreographed ballerina in front of an abstract painting, presented by Luxembourg & Dayan (New York, London). Carroll / Fletcher (London) will premier Basel Abbas and Ruanne Abou-Rahme’s (b.1983) installation ‘May Amnesia Never Kiss Us on the Mouth’ (2016), the result of a two-year research project on amnesia in an age where documentation has never been so incessant.
