Based on one of the largest private collections of Signac’s art, this publication catalogues over 140 works assembled by a family of collectors passionate about the artist, illustrating the entire trajectory of this Neo-Impressionist master.
The book documents a career that was as intense as it was diverse, with works from Signac’s Neo-Impressionist years as well as his shimmering depictions of Venice, Rotterdam, Constantinople and Saint-Tropez, culminating in the final watercolors from his Ports de France series.
Signac: Reflections on Water has been produced under the direction of leading art historian Marina Ferretti Bocquillon, Scientific Director of the Musée des Impressionismes in Giverny, France.
