13th Edition of the Excelencias Awards Coming to FITUR

The EXCELENCIAS AWARDS were created 13 years ago by the Excelencias Group in a bid to foster excellence in different spheres related to the travel industry, gastronomy and culture in Iberian America.

The Excelencias Awards have become a benchmark in the fields of tourism and gastronomy in Iberian America. Once again, they will be delivered within the framework of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) in Madrid, Spain, on Wednesday January 17, 2018, at 5 p.m.
 

EXCELENCIAS TURÍSTICAS AWARDS

21 awards are set to be handed to projects from 10 countries. The ceremony will be attended by ministers, governors, tourism secretaries, general managers and figures from the travel industry.

Award winners: Kike Sarasola (Caribbean News Digital Special Award), NH Hotels, CEAV and Purina, The Colonial Gate, Barceló Hotel Group, Agencia de Promoción Turística de Centroamérica, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mercado de Abastos CDMX, Puebla, Guanajuato, Oaxaca, Charo Trabado, Orden del Camino de Santiago Foundation, CEGAHO, Paraguay (Spirit of Excellence Special Award), Riviera Nayarit, Grupo Editorial Agueda, Cuba and Argentina.

EXCELENCIAS GOURMET AWARDS

12 prizes are going to be given to projects/people from 6 countries. The ceremony will be attended by renowned chefs, sommeliers and figures from the international gastronomic realm.

Award winners: Mare Siccus, Bodegas Faustino, Pago del Rey, Café de las Sonrisas (Nicaragua), Perú and Estado Mexicano de Morelos
