New sections curated in URVANITY 2019

After the success of its two previous editions, from February 28 to March 3 the URVANITY international fair returns to Madrid, with a careful selection of New Contemporary Art, and also premiered a Special Curated Program with three sections: "Solo Shows ", Specific installations and murals, which aim to spread contemporary art and collecting among the general public.

The creators who will participate in these sections have been selected by the independent curators Sabina Chagina (co-founder of the ARTMOSSPHERE Contemporary Urban Art Biennial, Moscow), the architect and curator Sergio Pardo and Juan Peiró, Doctor of Fine Arts and Professor of the Faculty of Fine Arts, from the Universitat Politècnica de València.

The famous French urban artist Miss Van, the realistic painter and pioneer of the New York street art movement Dan Witz, the Czech exponent of 3D graffiti Jan Kaláb and the Spanish Sam3 will star in the "solo shows", a space where you can contemplate the work of each one of them in its own context and independently.

In addition, the fair will once again have a space dedicated to emerging art, with the winners of the Tuenti-URVANITY ART New Contemporary Art contest, aimed at students of Fine Arts in Spain, who will exhibit their works together with those of the rest of the artists, forming part of the professional circuit of galleries, artists and collectors.

URVANITY is the only Spanish fair dedicated to New Contemporary Art. Its bet is to claim proposals that, based on the artistic expression developed in the urban context from the 70s, today build a dialogue with modernity.

In the words of the director of the fair, Sergio Sancho, "although New Contemporary Art is already well established in European countries such as France, Germany, England or North America, in Spain it is still a small market, although with incredible growth potential. We have great artists working all over the world and, little by little, more galleries are added that start to program this type of content. That is why we think that Urvanity is a necessary fair in the Art Week of Madrid ".
