This is a truly special edition, of excellence, said Millán Cuétara. Its filmmakers had the desire to convene the professionals born in this land, the most competent, those who know the most of the issues addressed in it: urban planning, architecture, heritage, culture and traditions, gastronomy, economy, society... In its pages you can breathe the feeling of the Cienfuegueros, there are its most emblematic places, its architectural jewels, the elements that most identify us ... There is Cienfuegos in all its splendor.

For his part, José Carlos de Santiago, president of the Excelencias Group, thanked in the first place to the authorities of the territory (all present there), mainly to Lydia Esther Brunet Nodarse, first secretary of the Party in the province; and Mayrelis Pernía Cordero, president of the Provincial Assembly of People's Power, for the warmth and enthusiasm with which they welcomed this project; José Enrique González Garrido, delegate of Tourism in the southern territory, and especially to Millán for the effort and passion with which he made it his.

He also acknowledged what the magazine has to offer the support, knowledge, professionalism, sensitivity and humanity of collaborators such as Gladys Collazo, president of the National Council of Cultural Heritage of Cuba; and an artist like Julio Larramendi, "a creator who with his work and photographs has placed the image of Cuba around the world, with a total art".

De Santiago reported that, indeed, this number 166 began its international journey before it saw the light in Cienfuegos, since it already circulated in important events such as DATE in the Dominican Republic, and Saborea Puerto Rico, in the so-called Isla del Encanto, « and still continues its journey through other nations ».

As part of the new alliances established by the Excelencias Group, as part of this action of the magazine dedicated in a special way to the Perla del Sur, in this context the San Carlos rum was also presented, a proposal from the Drinks and Refreshments Company (EMBER) of Villa Clara, a responsibility that he met at Ovidio Marrero, the main technology specialist of that entity.

Actually born a century ago (it was created in 1919), San Carlos rum returns with new energy to celebrate this 200th birthday, explained Marrero, who said that in it much had to do with Yosvany Gruma Alonso, also a specialist in Technology, who « he modernized it and brought it to our days ».

It is the rebirth of a rum that came to be considered the King of Cuba and won multiple medals. In its current design, the Cienfuegos City Curator Office played a fundamental role, because it is a hundred percent Cienfuegos product.

It is a very light rum, of 38% alcohol, soft on the palate, translucent and with an accentuated brightness, which can be consume alone or with ice, because in any case it is a gift for the senses, concluded Ovidio Marrero.
