The National Art Craft Fair for Dad, organized by the Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets (FCBC), will be held for the first time this year in all the provinces of the country, between June 7 and 16, and its headquarters will be the City of Santiago de Cuba, territory where the idea of paying tribute to parents in their day with this event was born.
Each territory has designed a program of activities according to the characteristics that includes the inclusion of actions of the different manifestations of art and literature, and the products that will be marketed will be the most representative of local crafts and their traditions.
In Havana, the event will be dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the founding of this beautiful city and will be held in room C of the Pabexpo fairground from June 7 to June 15, starting at 10 o'clock in the morning.
More than 120 stands will market in Pabexpo all the manifestations of Havana's crafts, emphasizing men's textile products and footwear, as well as Collage Habana, from the National Center of Plastic Arts of FCBC, and El Mueble store, also of this institution.
In addition, and as usual, ARTEX SA, the House of the Americas, the Provincial Book Center, Genesis Art Galleries, The House of the Fan, the National Book Distributor, among other companies of culture, are added with their proposals to this initiative to deservedly honor Cuban parents.
The closing ceremony of the first National Craft Fair Art for Dad will be in the Plaza Aguilar of the Hero City with the participation of Macubá Theater Studio, founded in 1992 by its director, the actress Fatima Patterson Patterson, National Theater Award 2017.
