From September 10 to 13, 2025, Asunción will host the fourth edition of Pinta Asunción Art Week, marking the conclusion of a four-year cycle dedicated to promoting and showcasing contemporary and popular art from Paraguay.
During these days, the Paraguayan capital will become a meeting point for artists, curators, collectors, and international experts, with a program that includes exhibitions, gallery and museum tours, as well as discussions and debates through the FORO.
Double opening at Casa Ardissone
The official launch of this edition will take place at Casa Ardissone, a venue opening its doors to the public for the first time. It will feature the exhibitions El nombre del mundo es bosque by Fernando Allen and Paraguay Arte contemporáneo, both curated by Adriana Almada. This double opening will kick off an extensive program that spans across the city.
Curatorship and participants
The global curatorship of the event is led by Irene Gelfman, while Adriana Almada serves as general curator. In addition, renowned curators such as Ticio Escobar, Félix Toranzos, Betina Brizuela, Lía Colombino, Fredi Casco, among others, will participate.
The participating galleries include: Arte Actual, Artística, BGN Arte, Casa Mayor, Casa Taller, Exaedro, Expresiones, Fábrica Galería / Club de Arte, Fuga Villa Morra, MATICES, Room Service, Textilia, and Viedma Arte.
Meanwhile, the museums, foundations, and institutions joining the program are: Casa Ardissone, Centro Cultural de España Juan de Salazar, Centro de Artes Visuales / Museo del Barro, Confines del Paraguay, Fundación Migliorisi, Fundación Texo, La otra casa de Asterión, and Museo de Arte Sacro.
International program and regional scope
Pinta Asunción Art Week also invites visitors to join its International Program, designed to introduce them to the local art scene through cultural tours, gastronomic experiences, and visits to the city’s historical heritage. The event promotes connections between artists, collectors, and curators from across Latin America, combining contemporary art proposals with popular expressions.
The 2025 edition is supported by EFG, Global Lead Partner of Pinta, and consolidates itself as a key platform for cultural, economic, and artistic exchange in the region.
