The fourth – and final – edition of Pinta Asunción Art Week takes place in Asunción from September 10 to 13, 2025, closing a cycle that has played a key role in strengthening the visibility of contemporary art in Paraguay and fostering its integration into international dialogues.
The event officially opened on September 10 at Casa Ardissone (25 de Mayo 731), a historic venue that joined the program for the first time and opened its doors to the public in this context. The inauguration included a lunch gathering of around 120 guests, including authorities, collectors, artists, gallerists, and art professionals.
The opening ceremony was attended by Adriana Almada, general curator of the event since 2022, who designed the exhibitions of this edition; Juan Diego Carrasco, representing EFG Wealth Management, Global Sponsor of Pinta; Jorge Srur, Southern Regional Manager of CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, Associate Partner of the event; and Roque Ardissone, owner and director of Casa Ardissone, who hosted the gathering.
International guests linked to FORO, a program coordinated by Irene Gelfman, Pinta’s Global Curator, also participated in the launch. FORO will take place on Friday and Saturday at CAF and at the Casa de la Integración (Avda. Mariscal López and República Dominicana).
In his welcome remarks, Diego Costa Peuser, Global Director of Pinta, stressed that although this is the last edition, it “opens a space of continuity: highlighting the strength and diversity of Paraguay’s artistic scene and supporting its integration into international dialogues and connections that will remain in motion.”
For his part, Roque Ardissone emphasized the symbolic value of hosting the opening in a house built by his grandfather in 1924, recently recovered by the family: “It is an enormous source of pride that Pinta Asunción has chosen this space for its inauguration, and I hope this will be the beginning of many other cultural events to be held here.”
