The 2025 edition of Pinta Miami, held from December 4–7 at The Hangar in Coconut Grove, welcomed 19,000 visitors and gathered 44 international galleries from 28 cities. With significant institutional acquisitions, steady mid-tier and emerging-market sales, and more than 60 percent female participation, this edition further solidified the fair’s leadership within the Ibero–Latin American art ecosystem during Miami Art Week.
Under the direction of Global Curator Irene Gelfman, the fair included the Main Section along with NEXT, curated by Juan Canela, and RADAR, curated by Isabella Lenzi. Galleries from Latin America, the United States, and Europe showcased established and emerging artistic practices representing Argentina, Mexico, Bolivia, Spain, Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil, the United States, Peru, Chile, and Portugal.
FORO, coordinated by Gelfman, featured a three-day program of conversations with 14 participants including artists, gallerists, collectors, and specialists. Discussions addressed the evolution of gallery models, current collecting practices, transatlantic cultural connections, and the role of artificial intelligence in artistic production, fostering productive dialogue about the challenges and opportunities in the region today.
Highlights included the Sculpture Garden with works by Priscila Schott and Rafael Barrios, and the performance series Body as Instrument, featuring Guri Guru with Robertha Haddad Blatt and a body-focused performance by Félix Suazo.
Women's leadership played a central role in this edition. The Women of Vision Breakfast at The Hangar honored art historian Carol Damian, Ph.D., and Susan Fontanals, Executive Director of the CIFO Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation, for their contributions to the advancement of Latin American art and the promotion of women in the field.
Diego Costa Peuser, Founder and Global Director of the Pinta Group, underscored the fair’s trajectory: “After 19 years, the presence and impact of the Latin American art market are undeniable, and it is a point of pride that Pinta Miami leads this circuit as it expands further south during Miami Art Week.”
According to Gelfman, the fair has become an active meeting point for artists, galleries, and collectors, creating opportunities for regional artistic expression to gain wider visibility.
This edition also presented the fourth NEXT Prize, supporting experimental artistic practices. The award was shared by Galería Arteconsult (Panama City) with artist Andrea Santos and Ceibo Gallery (Miami) with Blanca Machuca. The selection committee included Irene Gelfman, Isabella Lenzi, and Rafael Fonseca. The 2025 EFG Latin America Art Award, in partnership with ArtNexus, was granted to Ana Mazzei for her work Estrela (2024), presented by Martins & Montero Gallery and nominated through SP-Arte.
Institutional acquisitions were a notable component of this year’s outcomes. Midtown Park (Rosso Development) acquired two large-scale works by Spanish artist Rubén Rodrigo, represented by El Museo Gallery. The special project Ana Teresa Barboza: Interwoven Stories, presented by Espacio Líquido, entered the collection of Fundación María Cristina Masaveu Peterson (FMCMP) in Spain. DC Foundation incorporated a work by Venezuelan artist Andrés Michelena, represented by Carmen Araujo Arte and Beatriz Gil Galería, into its annual acquisitions during Miami Art Week.
The fair also expanded Open Files, Pinta’s research and interview platform dedicated to contemporary Latin American artists. The 2025 edition spotlighted Nicola Costantino with a ceramic project influenced by botanical structures; Aurora Molina, known for socially engaged textile work; and Jennifer Basile, whose printmaking explores landscape, travel, and environmental awareness, including her recent piece Not a Cloud in the Sky (2025).
Pinta Miami acknowledged the support of EFG Wealth Management, along with Copa Airlines as the official airline and JW Marriott Brickell as the official hotel. The fair also recognized the contributions of Maison Perrier, Juan Valdez, PVG Insurance Group, RC Law, and its gastronomic partners Pommery, Baileys, Mezcal Unión, Johnnie Walker, and San Ginés. Cultural and media partners were instrumental in sustaining the fair’s impact.
The 2026 edition of Pinta Miami will take place December 3–6.
Pinta continues to serve as a leading platform for the promotion of Latin American art through its three contemporary art fairs: Pinta Lima, Pinta BAphoto, and Pinta Miami. It also develops Pinta Art Weeks in collaboration with museums, galleries, and public programs. In 2025, Pinta launched its first Pinta Panamá Art Week and completed its fourth consecutive Pinta Asunción Art Week, with expansion plans for Pinta Medellín Art Week and Pinta Santo Domingo Art Week in 2026.
