The Buenos Aires galleries Daniel Maman Fine Art, Ignacio Liprandi Arte Contemporáneo and Chez Vautier/Cosmocosa are taking part for the first time in Art Cologne, Germany’s oldest and most prestigious art fair.
Argentina is the guest country in this fair that opened on Wednesday, April 13, and will conclude on Monday the 17th in the Koelnmesse complex, with a catalogue of works that include 200 galleries of Spain, Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Greece, Denmark, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Finland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, England and The United States.
Daniel Maman Fine Art presents works from the sixties and seventies, with creators like Enio Iommi, Raul Lozza, Alberto Greco, Guillermo Kuitca and Nicola Constantino. Works by the abovementioned creators are also exposed (until May 22) at the Morsbroich Museum of Leverkusen, as part of an exhibit entitled Radical Shift: a political and social revolution in the Argentine art since the 1960s.
The Ignacio Liprandi Arte Contemporaneo and Chez Vautier/Cosmocosa galleries are displaying the works of artists like Tomas Espina, Manuel Ameztoy, Monica Millan, Mariana Sissia, Ignacio Valdez and Faivovich, and Goldberg.
The contrast between artistic traditionalist and contemporary trends has been one of the typical features of Art Cologne since its foundation back in 1967.
