Havana.- The festival of Cuban culture Habanarte will be held from September 11th to September 21st next year, said its organizers during the presentation of the event at the XXXII International Fair of Havana (FIHAV 2014). Our goal is to further strengthen the cultural encounter as the quote of the arts in Cuba, said the Director of Communications of the Ministry of Culture, Anneris Leyva in Expocuba fairgrounds where exhibitors from 60 countries participate.
Meanwhile, the maximum directive of the agency’s Industries and Cultural Services, Nadia Naranjo said it is no accident to present the festival in the biggest comercial bag Cuba. It is that visitors from other countries see culture as an ally, she argued.
She also noted, with the festival of the arts of the largest island of the Antilles the intention is not to replace any of the artistic offerings, but it consolidates as an event that adds to the proposals.
The time was perfect for the organization to stand out in the first edition this year, which involved about 600 thousand foreigners, over a thousand artists that entertained the shows offered at nearly 100 institutions.
Habanarte 2015 will be held -like the first edition-in theaters, galleries, cinemas, parks, cultural and educational centers, recording studios, communities, among others.
It also includes live performances by prestigious figures and music bands of world music, art exhibitions, screenings of classic films of Cuban cinema, tours of heritage sites and meetings with artists.
According to organizers, Habanarte is the expression and realization of a desire to make available all the art at once.
